Name: KAREN FUND
in honor of Karen Ronning -- "KEREN LeKAREN"

Purpose: The Karen Fund is meant to help comfort and rehabilitate suffering people in Israel.

Specific aims are to:

Educate Israeli community leaders in Biblically based pastoral care;
Train new counselors who can help emotionally burdened people in Israel TEST TEST;
Equip a central facility to provide professional guidance for sufferers.

Potential means of accomplishing these aims:

Equip a reading room with books that help to cope with stress;
Sponsor conferences on subjects of coping with emotional burdens;
Provide scholarships for leaders for continuing education in pastoral care;
Provide scholarships to support the training of new counselors;
Subsidize an office with facilities and personnel for intake diagnostics and professional counseling and ongoing pastoral care;
Utilize other creative means of alleviating suffering and energizing people in overcoming personal problems in order to become caregivers themselves;
Fund raising to facilitate the above.
