The
Dream of a Friend Today was your funeral: so beautiful, so uplifting, so hopeful. Your body descended to the cave of Earth and was sealed with dust and flowers and tears. And weariness and grief were melted into sleep; they were forgotten for a time, while you showed up in my dream. You were shining, having already spent some time with the Divine. You had come to wipe away the tears and lift my face from the ground to behold the Hope of Heaven, to touch the Heart of Peace. You turned around and smiled as I'd never seen anyone smile before: a smile projecting bliss, fulfillment, comfort, serenity, joy and above all, love. I reached out to cling to you, and embraced not a body but an angel, and felt a tremor of holiness pass from your spirit through this racked and sorrowful frame of mine. Now I know you best as you pace the hidden realms with my Heavenly Father, here and there plucking a sunflower and placing it on my heart while I lie in a grave of motionless slumber, sealing my dream with comfort and a taste of paradise: now, and yet to come.
